Beautiful Chrysanthemums

Chrysanthemum Flowers

Although members are restricted to cultivate plants other than bonsai trees in the bonsai workshop, Teacher Wong always keeps some flowering plants in the workshop for ornamental purposes.  And now in the early winter, we have some big and beautiful Chrysanthemums with showy blossoms 😀

  • Sandy, the blooms are all so beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I always like to see those spider mums. Their petals are really attractive. Teacher Wong has unique taste. The mums shown here, have very pleasant colours. Btw, happy working on your bonsai!

  • Beautiful mums! I have seen bonsais with small mums here in Japan. Thanks for sharing, Sandy.

Thanks for dropping by Stephanie and Gururaj. This post is actually a bit outdated… it is supposed to be posted during the holiday season. But becuz of some serious virus infection, Gardening on Cloud 9 has been stopped for quite a while and I didn’t get a chance to put up this post till a few days ago!

These mums are beautiful, aren’t they? We are planting a second batch, and they should be ready by Chinese New Year 😉

  • How are the mums now? All blooming for the New Year? All the nurseries here stocked up lots of beautiful flowering plants and especially those auspicious ones. I see many people buying them.

Happy decorating your house and New Year 😀

O yes, mums is a very popular flower for Chinese New Year, isn’t it? Yet, at home this year, I have no mums, but loaded with Narcissus. 😀
