Yellow Skin Watermelon

September 27, 2009

Last week, I had finally tasted the yellow skin watermelons that were growing in the greenhouse like hanging lanterns for the first time.

The flesh and seeds of the watermelon looked just like a regular one, only that it tasted so sweet.  Indeed, Teacher Wong told me that this is an award-winning watermelon developed by a breeder/producer in Taiwan.

Now, we only have the cantaloupes left in the greenhouse :)

It looks so yummy. I love watermelon especially if they are real sweet. I love the picture with them hanging in the greenhouse.

I think this colour combination need some getting used to for me. Still can’t imagine a water melon with yellow skin.

Yes, I have tried yellow flesh watermelon. These yellow flesh ones have been around for so long, I have got used to it. I still think a watermelon looks prettier with green skin! LOL.
